Rich had the catheter removed today! What a relief. Now he goes into rehab to learn to use the Kegel exercises, since the surgery leaves you temporarily incontinent. Yippee. Within a couple of months he should be as good as new, but the good part is, we're on the last leg of our journey. Whew. Guys - get your PSA checked religously and visiting the Mayo Clinic site that will give you some tips on exercise (yeah, I know, yuk) and diet (ditto).

It often follows family paths, so if someone you're related to has it, you are at an increased risk. It's often easily diagnosed and frequently slow growing, so it's one you can often beat!
I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that this is (hopefully) the last post on the prostate cancer hell. We thank you all for your support and thoughts and prayers - you'll never know how much they have helped unless/until you're in a position like this.
Much love,
Rich & Judy
