Rick's birthday and more surgery!

Tuesday was Rick's 30th birthday - Lordy, am I getting old. We went to the range and practiced a bit, then went to Blue Highway Pizza for a great dinner. We keep saying we're going to get a thin crust, but ended up with another Sicilian with pepperoni, roasted red peppers, and mushrooms. Rich and I had the Tuscan Hummus (they use canolini beans instead of garbanzos) and flat bread for an appetizer and Rick had the Blue Highway salad with roasted sugared pecans, feta, spring mix, and a yummy dressing.

Rick is taking his manager's test today and will find out how he did in a couple or three weeks. Keep your fingers crossed!

Well, I went to my orthopaedic surgeon yesterday and he said it's time to replace my left knee. Looks as though it will be sometime in August, though I'm hoping someone will cancel and I can move up into June or July. Then, a year and a half or so later, I'll be having the other one done. Guess I won't retire until I get all the spare parts installed.
